This was one of those classic type shows that was reminiscent of ones in the 80's. This show took place at The Ken Miller Rec Center in Torrance California. The show started at noon with 10 bands scheduled to play. Performing were, Political Riot, Rebel Society, 45 Grave, Wasted Ones, Instigator, Dr. Know, Oppressed Logic, Smut Peddlers, Channel 3 and DI.

We did not roll in there till mid afternoon and missed the first half of the show, even 45 Grave. There we gave Dinah Cancer of 45 Grave a Dr Know skate deck. The thing that many people do not know is that the Dr Know girl on the deck is Dinah Cancer -how's that for some Punk rock history. Dinah was thrilled to get this deck and she wants to learn to skate. It is rumored that Kevin Staab will be the one giving her lessons soon.

Inside the rec center was a good size crowd waiting for Dr Know's set to begin. Dr. Know is a real favorite among skaters and the front of the stage was filled with guys we see skating all over. Next up was Oppressed Logic. We had not been out to see them play in a few years and it was good to see them.

This was a "party free" show if you know what we mean, so some of the crowd found themselves going back and fourth to the parking lot to "hang out". Outside we found plenty of Team Goon fans that are just about every major show that goes down in the Southland. The 15 minute intermissions between bands were just right to give time to party and then go back in.

Now back inside, Smut Peddlers were just taking the stage. This band is pure Punk rock fun with the people in the pit taking out the people at the front of the stage at times. Then Channel 3 took the stage followed by DI. What is there to say about either band that you do not already know -both bands just killed it and left the crowd wanting more. The 10pm curfew had now fell over the rec center and the show was over. Damm, it was only 10 o'clock and way too early to go home.
