One of our scouts made the trek a few weeks back to scope this spot out while he was out on a job assignment. He came back with the 411 that this would be the BEST pool any of us have ever skated. This pool was a go for a while, then the care taker had it filled with a sand and dirt mixture in hopes of deterring the random sessions. From what we understand is that someone bro'd down with the owner and the pool got dug out.

Tonight's action started at 9pm at this bowl that took us 5 hours to drive to from our home base. Under the cover of darkness we brought a generator with the tank topped off and enough lights to illuminate this kidney bowl. We were in for a sick session that everyone would not forget for a long time.

Warning

As you enter the pool area through the gate you get greeted by a sign that says, "If we keep this place clean, Throw away our trash, and respect the property We have PERMISSION to skate the pool. No Grafitti! Don't F#*&%ing ruin it for all of us. THANKS. Now just because it says that, it still is not a green light to email us to flow on this pool - look at the heading of the story if you have anymore questions.

Light set up

No waiting

Check it out
With the generator humming, the lights were getting set up for the session that would last till 2 in the morning. Everyone was yelling and screaming as they opened Christmas presents - A Killer Pool. The groms could not wait for the lights to get set up and had already started to take runs.

Lights were being placed all around the pool making it as perfect as if we were at a skatepark, but this place was better. We doubt there is a skatepark anywhere with a pool like this. The temperature was about 72° which was optimal for skating and no sun to beat on you.

With a few loaded coolers, a blaring CD player and a huge collection Punk Rock music, everything was in place and the sess went off. Below are the photos of the toy we had to play with.

The Pool

Things started off strong with Kyle Gallagher laying down some Indy metal on the coping with an authoritarian frontside grind. Not to be out done, Andrew kept working on a respectable frontside grind and not long into the session he got it done. These 2 guys were very competitive amongst each other and pumping the other guy to go bigger - great stuff.

The rest of the pool service consisted of groms, Joe "The Milkman" at age 6, and VISION grom riders Chris Graham and David Robarge both age 11. The groms got in there and mixed it up with the big boys, stylin frontside, backside, ally oop slides, and grom style early grabs.

Not every run was flawless. Everyone took a slam while skating this bowl, but with everyone hyped, the pain did not set in until the next day. With the sounds of our favorite Punk bands, The Skulls, The Adicts, Special Duties and assorted Nardcore providing the amperage for the session as the skating got nuts.

This was a session that the group that assembled at this holy grail of pools would not forget for a long time. Totally loosing track of time we saw that is was now 2am. The gas in the generator was operating on fumes so we thought we would call it a night. We packed up our lights and gear and headed back into the night that we came from without a trace.
